Conference in Abu Dhabi: “Building Future Leaders: Commitment, Integrity, and Innovation”
Autorius: Paulius Bergaudas, student in Islamic university of Malaysia
During Decembers 7-8th days youth of Muslim communities have met for the First Forum for Youth of Muslim Communities in Abu Dhabi under the title of “Building Future Leaders: Commitment, Integrity and Innovation”. One of the main goals of this conference was to inspire and support the Muslim minorities in the world who are facing a deep crisis in our contemporary times. During the conference its participants were able to share their experiences which helps us to integrate into the communities and spread peace, tolerance, reciprocal understanding and cooperation for the sake of wellbeing of the whole planet.
I had a great honor to represent Lithuania in this conference. It gave me an ability to know Muslims from all over the world who have become their community leaders and to share experiences and the problem solutions which can be applied in order to create a harmonious society. Indeed, today Muslim world is facing uncountable number of problems and new challenges who didn’t existed before our era of globalization. The diaspora of Muslims has reached a level as never before, unfortunately the level of islamophobia has reached its peak too.

Waiting for the conference
Therefore, such events as this conference are very important and gives us new insights for the problem solutions which we would be unable to solve if we work separately because in the global world, problems have to be solved globally and with cooperation too. Indeed, the experience and achievements of such persons as Dr Robert D Cane who has worked as a Deputy Director in National Security Council of USA gives us inspiration and knowledge which is very important to achieve integration into the societies. Or presentations from the representatives of African countries lets us to see a completely different life of people whose challenges are different too. Some of other presentations were about people who have achieved a lot even as a part of minority and as such gives us inspiration, no matter how hopeless the situation would be.

Participants of Conference
I hope that I will be able to share the benefits which I gained from this conference with other people who are surrounding and inspiring me to work hard so that I would be able to add at least a little bit to the betterment of the future and implementation of the goals and vision of this conference and its organizer (The World Muslim Communities Council) which are the creation of wellbeing and understanding which became very important in our global times because people as never before are dependent on each other no matter how long is the distance between them.
