Ruling on caricatures in Islam
The Islamic religion teaching speaks very clearly AGAINST any form of human bullying and PROHIBITS any words and actions that offend another person’s feelings, honor, and dignity. The Qur’an says:
“O believers! Do not let some ˹men˺ ridicule others, they may be better than them, nor let ˹some˺ women ridicule other women, they may be better than them. Do not defame one another, nor call each other by offensive nicknames… ”(Quran, 49:11)

Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ)
The Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ) is a prophet of mercy. Every Muslim loves the Prophete than his parents. The Prophet Muhammed has a very high and honorable place in Islam religion. He was a Prophet, a Messenger, a religious teacher, a social reformer, a moral guide, a leader, a statesman, a faithful friend, an excellent companion, a devoted man, and a loving father. It is a man who, at the age of forty, began to proclaim the message of Islam to all humankind—being the best and most ideal example for everyone. He left this world at the age of sixty-three, but the message he conveyed did not cease to exist to this day. Therefore, as mentioned above, Muslims do not make fun of people, so the Prophet’s published horrific caricature shows double disrespect for nearly two billion Muslims in the world.
Everyone is free to comply with and adopt the laws of his country appropriate for that period. We live in a global world, so opinion leaders and country leaders have significant responsibilities, and they cannot forget or ignore it. What happens at one end of the world can impact the other end of the world. Globalization is not just about free trade relations between countries or tourist flights by plane, or the opportunity to buy unusual souvenirs from another part of the world, but also spreading an idea, ideology, an event that travels at an extraordinary speed modern technology and social networks.
Therefore, we invite everyone to be careful when we say or do something and react wisely to the situation. And even when we have those rights, there are limits to everything. And every right has a duty.
